Hi everyone, this is the first ever blog I am writing.
I was really excited the morning I was invited to review the massive 56 inch Khalibali Thali at Ardor 2.1, Cannaught Place, New Delhi. I left my place with my brother and a friend and we reached the venue.
We entered the venue and the aesthetics of the place were eye pleasing experience with a vintage dine decor. We took our seats and waited for our Thali to get ready.
Finally, we saw two people holding a huge Thali and carrying them toward our table. It was finally placed on the table and oh, it looked delectable.
The thaali is designed ideally for 4 people.
The thali comprised a proper three course meal.
Starting with the starters-
The starters menu had a generous amount of Paneer Tikka, Malai Tikka, Haha Bhara Kebab, Dahi Kebab and Soya Chaap. Trust me, the quality of the food was amazing.
The drinks menu was pretty elaborate too. It had 4 classes of Chaach, Jaljeera and Roohafsa.
Before proceeding towards the main course, lets have a look at the Chaat.
You will find a bowl of Papdi, Green Chutney and Curd. Get that Papdi Chaat ready.
Finally, moving on to he main course.
The sides had Sliced Onion, Vinegar Onion, Lemon, Green Chilli and Pickle.
The main course had Dal Makhani, Yellow Arhar Daal, Kadhai Paneer, Paneer Bhurji, Aloo Sabzi, Mix Vegetable , Palak Paneer along with Raita and Curd.
There was an elaborate breads menu too. It has an assorted variety of breads starting from Tandoori Roti, Plain Naan, Butter Naan, Lacha Parantha and Besani Naan.
My favourite part of the Thali were the two huge Rice Bowls. The first one being the Plain Rice Bowl and other being the Vegetable Biryani.
The sweet dish had the ultimate best, gulab jamuns.
We were three people and we were obviously not able to complete the whole of it. One thing that was praise worthy was the fact that besides such a massive quantity, the quality was not compromised.
I had the Vegatarian Thaali and it costed around Rs.2400 plus taxes which is so affordable for four people with such explicit quality and quantiity.
I had an amazing experience and went back home with my stomach full and heart happy. I got a good night sleep and that’s what we all live for.
